Tulsa, Oklahoma Framing Contractor

 EPA Certified

As a premier framing contractor in Oklahoma, Mark Hawkins has been a carpenter since 1972 in the Tulsa area,  and has earned a reputation for being professional, courteous and qualified to complete all of your projects on time and within budget.  Our company can supply all framing materials, trusses and labor to complete your project.   Hawkeye Construction undertakes a wide variety of projects, with framing and demolition of fire damaged structures being one of our specialties.  Some of our other projects include the new construction of banks and commercial buildings, fiber cement siding, decks, wall removal and beam installation, rotten wood replacement, major structural repairs and more.

Our carpenters are qualified for even the most difficult framing projects. They are up to date with the latest building codes and are efficient in the use of the proper building materials for the project.  We work with contractors, engineers, adjusters and homeowners.

Hawkeye Construction works on both commercial and residential projects located in the state of Oklahoma. We are certified by the EPA under the lead paint rule that became effective in June of 2010.  Hawkeye Construction is located in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Decks:   Hawkeye Construction has been a Tulsa deck builder for over 30 years. Decks can be built with your plans or if you need help, we can design your new deck from the ground up.

Treated wood is the most common deck building material and is also one of the least expensive materials to use. Other types of materials include cedar or redwood (more expensive) and composite lumber (most expensive). All of our deck boards are fastened using screws designed for the materials being used.

Hawkeye Construction works on other outdoor projects including pergola’s, wheel chair ramps, storage buildings, patio covers and wood fencing.

  Deck building tips:

  - Never set the deck on the ground. Support the decking using treated post resting on or installed in concrete.

 -  Check the crown of the deck board. Always put the crown facing up.

 -  Use only the recommended galvanized fasteners on all wood

 -  Make sure all post and rails are level and plumb

 -  Stain and seal the deck (wait a month or two if possible to allow wood to dry out)

 -  Check local building codes for required permits

Siding:  Hawkeye Construction is a preferred Tulsa area fiber cement siding installer. We work with wood siding, vinyl siding and fiber cement siding. Our service area includes the entire state of Oklahoma, including Jenks, Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Claremore, Owasso, Grove and Oklahoma City.

James Hardie fiber cement siding may be purchased in pre-finished colors or with only a primer coat on the siding.  The siding comes in 4x8 sheets, lap siding and fish scale. Trim boards are also available.

Our standard practice is to remove the existing siding and install Tyvek house wrap over the exposed wall to provide a new vapor barrier before installing the new fiber cement siding. Trim boards may be of fiber cement siding, treated wood or smooth cedar.

Wood siding comes in lots of different shapes, sizes and materials. Treated wood and cedar are preferred exterior wood siding materials. We remove and replace all types of wood siding and wood trim.

Our carpenters are familiar with all types of sidings and wood trim. We remove and replace rotten wood, facia and eve systems and all exterior wood and trim.

Fire and Storm Restoration:  Hawkeye Construction has extensive experience in the framing and demolition of fire and storm damaged buildings. Both commercial and residential projects have been undertaken and completed with excellent results.

Our carpenters have the experience to remove and replace portions of the building while leaving the remaining building intact. Sometimes this means replacing the roof system while leaving the drywall and trim intact on the interior walls.

There is a technique to safely rebuilding a damaged structure, which we have developed over the years. Safety is of vital importance for both the owners of the building and the carpenters.

Hawkeye Construction has completed over 100 apartment and home fires in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas. We have an excellent reputation for completing each project to customer satisfaction. Most of our customers are repeat customers who are satisfied with our work ethics and quality of work.
